OUR STORY
It was the twilight of 2019. The world was about to go sideways, and Beau was drunk in Vancouver gearing up the courage to text a man she had casually known for years and referred to as “Hot Shane.” It was a shot in the dark, a throw of the dice, a Hail Mary in the land of single-dom. He responded, Thank God, because Beau would still be drunk in Vancouver and Shane would be sad and alone, surrounded by deer antlers and earplugs.
Texts turned into phone calls, which evolved into five-hour FaceTime dates and as Covid came bearing down they both knew what had to be done.
Beau needed to foster a dumb dog named Bob, throw him in the back of her truck, drive 22 hours straight towards a potentially closed border, drive another 6 hours to a town with a population of 2,500 and see about a man she had never kissed.
What could go wrong?
They jumped out of a plane without a parachute and held on for dear life as the world beneath them imploded.
It’s been a wild five years, and we’ve been waiting for the moment our friends and family could finally meet.
We love each of you so much, and can't wait to dance with you under the stars.
